EMPIRE LIGHTWEGHT TITLE
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 4. The British Boxing Board of Control, after an emergency meeting, announced that it had given Ron James permission to contest the Empire lightweight title against Vic Patriek in Australia. The Board stipulaed that James must return to Britain after the contest to defelxd the British championship against Stan Hawthorne before taking part in other contests.
