OTAKI RAILWAY CLUB Barnett pairs matches were indulged in on the Otaki Railway Club's green yesterday' afternoon when very pleasant games resulted. The green has never been better and the club is to be congratulated. It is confidently expected that in view of such a fine playing surface many tournaments will be held there. Many of the games were close and exciting and for the skips Merwood, Grey and Southgate tied. In the play-off Mer,wood defeated Grey, but in turn Merwood was beaten by -Southgate, who had the bye. For the leads Nicolson had a straight-out win. Following are the results: — . Skips: Merwood, Grey and Southgate three wins each, Webster, Rule, Baker and Booth two games each, Rolfe, Cahill and Symonds one game each. Leads: Nicolson four wins, Winterburn and Jepson three, Keay, T. Webster, Rich and Baxter two each, "Morgan and Watts one, Rusling nil. Afternoon tea was provided and enjoyed. '
