AUCKLAND, Oct. 4. The Devonport Borough Council 's de* cision to ensure that "no bathing eos tum.es likelv t.o caufte offence to the public will be worn 6n any part of th Devonport foreshore," has raised the question whether the French style oi bathing wear, which has already in vaded the Southern Hemisphere, might attempt a bid for New Zealand popu larity this summer. "We trust that the people will be have decently, and if they do not wi will deal with them," said the Mayoi of Auckland (Mr. Allum). "We d not want to be censors, but all we ask for is common sense. The standard may be a matter of opinion, but there is a limit below which no reasonable person will go, " 1
