Received Thursday, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, October 2. The Red Army is being streamlined according to some Moscow observers, says Reuter's correspondent, who^ recently returned to London from Russia. The highest Soviet military circles are carefully studying the most recent developments in warfare, including the atom bomb, rockets, radar and jet and rocket propelled aircraft.
A wide dispersal of bases will probably be planned and alsogreater mobility and independence of action of individual units, groups and commands. Tanks and artillery are receiving much attention, but the impression is that the infantry is still regarded as the "Queen of Battle." All available material 011 the British and American air forces during the war is being scrutinised,
especially large-scale offensive bombing. New four-engined bombers were seen in the recent air day review in Moscow, when jet and rocket propelled planes were also seen publicly for the first time. A big expansion in the Red Navy is being planned, including an increase and enlargements of shipyards. The newly-acquired bases in the Baltic and Far East are being steadily developed, equipped and garrisoned.
