"What we need in thrs country in a-bundance is risk capital in the liands of the daring who are wiiling lo seek out opportunities, " he said. "This applies alike' to those exploiting mineral resources and the man who wants to open a small grocery." Mr. Schramm criticised the Government 's prohibition of margin trading m stocks. "The prohibition of the use -of credit in the pnrc'hase of securities today, is undsound -and discriminatory and has resulted in the diversion of investment funds to speculalion in coTnmodities, f-armlands and real est-ate where the ability to borrow funds is virtually unrest-ricted and where credit is abundant, " he said.
