SOUTH ISLAND RACE
CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 29. The South Island 36 miles cyele championship was helfl under the con trol of the Southbridge Club. There was steady rain until near the fluish of the race. There were 19 starters. The award for fastest time went to A. J. Thomson (scr) whose riding time was llir. 49min 2 4-5soc. Results: W. H. Howison (6niin) 1, A. J. Thomson (scr) 2, M. G. Drake (scr) 3, J. R. Williams (scr) 4, J. Loper (6min) 5.
