JTJVENILE CLASSIC TO LANGSPIEL Backers were set some intricate problenis at the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's spring meeting which. opened at Hastings on Saturday, when only two iavourites were successful, doubletigure dividends heing returned by Carnforth, Langspiel, Sparkling Lady and the Emerge hracket. The weather was mild and there was a very large attendaiice. The track was firm and fast. The totalisator investments were £56,989 10s, compared with £14,086 last year, an increase of £12,903 10s.
