LONDON, Sept. 28. Mr. Chuter Ede, Secretary of State for Home Affairs, toki the National Spiritualists ' Union that there was no hope at present of repealiug the 21(5 year-old Witcheraft Act under wliich mediums claimed thev were treated as rogues and vagabonds and pirates of society. Mr. Ede said that freedom o' religious belief and expression shoukl not be restrained but a= relaxation o' the laws at present would be dangeroufwhen there was so wide a field for- th exploitation of personal loss and be rcaveraent.
