LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
"INTERESTED."
Sir, — At the Levin sale lambs were sold for killing weighing about 22 lbs. These lambs could have been carried over until 30 or 32 lbs. in weight. In view of the so-called shortage of meat, surely it would have been better to keep the lambs a short while and gain ten pounds of meat, which would mean roughly 80 coupons, as the butcher would have to get 2/- a pound when retailed. No lamb should be killed until it is 30 lbs. or over, and no vealer until it is 200 lbs. or over. Instead of less restrictions we need a few more and really help to feed Britain, not with coupons but with meat. Yours etc..
