CHILLED KISSES

Here is a short, short story, proving that film kisses, if not torrid must at least be warm! In a sceir |for Warner Bros., romantic scandal "My Reputation," George Brent was to kiss Barbara Stanwyck in a deserted cabin on the shores of Lak6 Tahoe during a blizzard on Stage 7. The cabin door was open, "snow" was blowing in, the wind was howling and everything seemed appropriately cold to everybody except director Curtis Bernhart, whose critical eye noted that the 4breath of his players wasn't ■ showing. "Bring the ice machines," he called. "Chill the stage. I want to see Brent's breath in a long plume." It was done and all seemed proper until little icicles began forming on Brent's moustache. Barbara positively refused to osculate under such conditions. So, ,hey warmed the stage up again the scene was secured — "Nicely" as Barbara said.
