The schedule of goods to be exempt from saies tax on and after tomorrow includes: — Building materials: Dressed timber, artieles made wholiy^or principally of coucrete suited for.. cpustruction of or permanent iustallation in buildings, stcel rods arid bars not exceeding one inCh in diameter, metal ties, mesh and lathing', metal window frames and leadlights glazed ot uuglazed,-. builders and eabinetmakers' hardware, eiectrical Iittings ineiuding wallplugs and sockets.l eiectrical wiring cable and insulatedl tlex of so'ftdrawn copper Wire, insulatedl c-eiling roses,- lainpholders, glass, metal' and similar reflectors, incandescenl I (ilameut electric lamp bulbs not cxceed I iug 200 watts and electric gaseous dis ! ehafge lamps not exeeeding. 100 watts, j household Iittings and sanitary ware, j pipes and.pipe iittings of galvanised iron, copper or brass not exeeeding two inehes in internal diameter, taps oue iuch and wnder} lead in pig, tin in J ingot, plumbers' solder and soldering fluxes, pipe jointing compounds and pipe paCking, sheet copper not exeeeding .05 inches in thickness, roses, crowns, rail sockets, travs and curtain? for shower baths, paints, coiours, var nishes, iacquers and enamels not in- 1 clnding artists' and showcard coiours, tung oil and dehydrated castor oil. Under the heading of furniture: Floor coverings, uamely rubber flooring. Miscellaneous: Cliemicals, drugs and other preparations approved by the Minister and sold t)y a licensed whole- ' saler to the order of any person (a) registered as a veterinary surgeou under the Veterinary Surgeons Act, 1926, or (b), entitled to use in connection with his business the desiguatiou of veterinary practitioner in accordanee with the Veterinary Surgeons Act, 1926, on deelaratiou by such a person j that they will be used only under his direclion in the preparation or coinpounding of bona flde veterinary medi cines which will be sold exclusively by retail. The schedule also includes goods whether made in New Zealand or imported, which, if imported would be classified under the Customs tariff as braids and bindings, crochet or similar buttons, elastics of all kinds, feathers, artiflcial flowers, leaves or ' spray, s, baberdashery, hatmalcers' materials, lacc, laces and ribbons, sewing eotton. silks, threads and twists, stayinakers ' corset fasteners, corset shields, corset steels and bust protectors, upholsterers' materials, buckles and similar artieles wholly of metal, eyelets, glue and goods for the manufaeture of ap parel, furniture, bats and upholstery.
