Swept from Horse

Karaepa Taiapa, a 16-year-old Maori boy, is presumed to have been drowned in the Waiapu River when he v/as swept from a horse while fording the river on Monday. The riderless horse came ashore on the opposite bank, but no trace of the boy was seen. A police search has proved fruitless.
