INVERCARGILL, Sept. 24. An easterly .gale aceoinpanied by rain. Avas experienced at Bluff today. About 4 a.m. the dredge Murihiku broke from its- stern moorings and Hwung around striking tlie tug Awarua and 'tlie Htewart Islaud ferrv Wairua. Minor damage Avas caused to the a-os-sels and tlie wharf. . The storm also caused slight daiiiage to other craft. A heaA-y sea running in the Straits delayed the departures of the overseas vessel Mahana. The oyster fleet remained in port.
