! ANNUAL MEETING Hie annual general meeting of the Shannon Cricket Club was held in the fire brigade rooms recently. Mr. R. S. Downes presided over a • vcry poor attendance. The report and balance sheet for the previous year was read and adopted. I The electlon of officers resulted i as follows: — ^Patron; Mr. W. ClayI ton; president: Mr. R. S. Downes; secretary: Mr. V. E. Tippler; delegates to the Horowhenua" Cricket Association: Messrs. V. E. Tippler and T. Roach; committee: Messrs. R. S. Downes, V. E. Tippler, B. Harris and T. Roach. It was decided that the matter of entering a junior team in the competitions should be left" over until a later date, when it might be possible to ascertain what junior players would be available.
