North and Miss V. Bargrove,.late of Otaki, New Zealand nureing sisters on the staff of the famous C.M.S. Hospital at Hangehow, are taking a post-graduate eourse in Wellington preparatory to Iheir return to China. Miss North, who was decorated with the Royal Red Cross for wai* services in Hong Kong, wears the badge of the R.S.A. She joined the Q.A.N.S. and was attaehed to the Royal Scnts, Middlesex Rcgt., Winnipcg Grenadiers and Royal Canadians during the bitter days in Hong Kong. Miss Bargrove continucd to serve in the hospital for eight months under Japanese occ.upatton. When the hospital was finally commnndeered by the Japanese she spent two and a-half years beliind barbed wire.
