When night t'ell and resciie nperations were suspendeil. four of the IS survivors had been taken to hospital. The remainder are expeerted to be l.mught out tomorrow. Fourteen suivivors are reported {o oe injured. Tlie helicopters are landing on a tiny treaeherous plateau a ipiarter of a mile from the wrneked plaue, where the injured are being carried on stretehers over a trail liaeked through dense forest. Thev are tlien being flown to a sinai 1 hike Hve miles distant from whieh thev are being carried in fiying boats to (lauder and Argentia. Oue of the airliner 's stewardesses who urgeiitly needed hospital treatment, reported tliat an explosion in niidair eaused the airliner to make a foreed landing.
