BOWLING

A draft circular to centres regarding the proposal that green- ' keepers or green supervisors should t attend a course of lectures at the green research area, Palmerston North, has been approved by the Wellington Centre. i Applications from the Auckland Bowling Centre to establish a bowltesting station at North Shore and the Bay of Plenty Centre to establish a bowl-testing station were further considered. The Christchurch Centre advised that no presses for stamping bowls were held, and that the rail and other necessary material for testing would have to be made; and also intimated that the opinion had • been expressed that no furthertesting centres were to be approved. It was decided to ask the Christ- \ church Centre for further informa- : tion regarding the establishing of! new testing stations, and also for a ! complete list of bowl testing sta- ■ tions now in operation.
