Fatal Collision One man was killed and another had a miraculous escape when a motor-driven jigger, used to inspect the permanent way, collided with a ;motor--car at a railway crossing near Papakaio this morning. The man killed was Mr. P. J. Hynes, of '30 Torridge Street, Oamaru. Mr. R. IM. Weymss, an inspector of ' the i permanent way, was thrown clear 'and was not injured.
