DRAMA CIRCLE FESTIVAL

At the annual festival of the Women's Institute drama circle, held at Foxton on Tuesdaty evening, Miss Ngaire Peach of Shannon, received the prize for the most promising young player. _ The judge praised her clear, distinct voice. The Foxton Circle were the winners with a very fine costume play. The Shannon cast included Mrs. S. Pedersen, Mrs. C. Stern, Miss Paula Small, Miss Ngaire Peach, Miss Billie Peach, Miss Catherin Stern and the producer was Mrs. D. Fitzgerald. The Shannon players were comended on the excellent choice of play. Local residents will have the opportunity oi seeing these fine performers on the stage when they will present their play in Shannon. ■
