MANAWATU BUILDING SOCIETY BALLOTS

At the meeting of shareliolders held on Tuesday evening Mr. G. B. Cppe, chairman of direetors, presidod ovcr a good attendance of members. Appropriations were hold, the results beiiig as follow: — Group G: Bailot, Mr. M. Bevan, Palmerston North, £000, Mrs. L. F. Bedford, Auckland, £300. Group 7: Tonder, £300 at £15 per cent. Group 8: Bailot, Mrs. M!. L. Coley, Palmerston North, £1000. At a subsequent meeting of the direetors the secretary reported 011 the linal lermination of groups 1 and 2, and it wa's expected that this would be completed during tne next inonth. In group 8 a loan of £800 was approved, and in group 9 an advance of £500 was comploted. The secretary reported that group II would begin operations at the end of October. Prolits distributed to shareliolders iu group 1 was1 £6 per sliare, and in group 2 £10 per share.
