Mr. C. J. Goldsmith, poultry instructor to the Department of Agriculture, is staying at the Grand Hotel. The Mayor and Mayoress, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Burdekin, left yesterday on a visit to Helensville and Tirau, and will be away until October 6. For His Worship the holiday will be a health recruiting one. The Prime Minister has announced that Mr. H. N. Dollimore, LL.B., has been appointed Clerk of the House of Representatives, succeeding Mr. G. F. Bothamley who retires on October 31. Mr. Dollimore was educated at Timaru Main and Pleasant District High Schools and Victoria University College. He joined the Public Service in 1921 and after serving in several departments he joined the Legislative Department in 1929.
