LEVIN LADIES' ACTIVITIES The best card handed in for last Wednesday's competition played by the Levin Ladies' Club, the September L.G.U. medal round, was that of Mrs. Ryder, who succeeded in playing to her handicap despite the unfavourable ground conditions. Her score of 102 — 30 — 72 .was followed by Mrs. Franklin, whose card read 98 — 19 — 79. The fourth round of the captain's trophy was played recently, thus finalising- this competition, which was won by Mrs. Hastedt. This Wednesday has been left fr.ee to enable players to play off their matches in the first round of the junior championship, as only a week is allowed for the completion of each round. The draw is as follows: — Mrs. Alexander v. Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Denton v. Mrs. Lynch, Mrs. Black v. Mrs. Clarke, Mrs. M. Wilson v. Mrs. Hunter, Mrs. Walker v. Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Keenan v. Mrs. Ryder, Miss P. Wilson v. Mrs. Frederikson and Mrs. Wyatt v. Mrs. Porter. Senior championships: Mrs. Hastedt a bye, Miss Herrick v. Miss Hosie. No cards were handed in for last Saturday's C grade competition. The draw for next Saturday is as follows: Miss Leddra and Mrs. Sorenson, Miss Chapmen-Cohen and Miss Kilsby, Miss Coleman and Miss Everson, Miss Franklin and Miss N. Walker and Mrs. Coutie and marker.
