The maritime strike took a new turn yesterday wlien some A.F.L. seamen s offieials, despite the settlement of their dispule, ordered menibers not to cross Ihe pieket lines of G.I.O. seamen who went on strike earlier in the day. The c-ontinuaiiee of the mick strike has forced Lwo of the city's large food chains with xiearly 740 stores, to close down todav. The city is getting closer to economic paralysis as negotiations for settlement bog uown. Deliveries from 375 large retail stores were lialted yesterday wJien the Enitecl Parcels Service drivers joined the strikers.
