By Telegraph

WELLINGTON, Sept. 13. The Minister of Supply announced today that, with a slight improvement m the sugar position, certain manufacturers who had received a maximum re--duction in their sugar alloeations in 1942, will be granted from October, a substantial inerease in their supplies. The manufacturers mainly concerned are those making confestionery, aerated water and ice cream. As a result of the inereased sugar allocation, the pubiic should be better supplied with their products during the summer period, while the manufacturers themselves will be better able to play their part in the rehabilitation of returned servieemen.
