BEACH BOWUNG CLCB A very successful card evening t was held on Friday last at Mrs. ; Barker's Tearooms, Paraparaumu i Beach, organised by the ladies' jsection of the Paraparaumu Beach jBowling Club. About 100 players , gathered for progressive 500 and J bridge, pi'izes being awarded to the Iwinners, Mrs. A. Miles and Mr. Bill iHowell for 500, and Mrs. Wylie and iMr. G. Williamson for bridge. A ' light supper was afterwards served, when a vote of thanks was accorded by the club's president, Mr. W. J. McCulloch, to the ladies' committee.
