ITALIAN IMMIGRANTS TO TRIPOLITANIA
ARAB VIEW OF MOVE Received Friday, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 12. About 1600 Italian immigrants, - 80 per cent of whom were women and children wishing to rejointheir menfolk, have landed in Tripolitania since March, says Reuter's Cairo correspondent. The British military administration has confiscated several vessels. It has allowed the women and children to remain, but sent back the other 20 per cent who had no families in Tripolitania. The immigrants are sailing from the east of Sicily, and it is believed that a secret organisation is behind the move. The Arabs attach political signiflcance to the operation, which is viewed as a step by Italy to strengthen her claims to the colony. _
