LEVIN YOUNG FARMERS
MONTHLY MEETING HELD The usual monthly meeting of .he Levin Young Farmers' Club vas held recently, when Mr. M. Rolston presided over an attendance of 20 members. Mr. Rolston referred to the loss which the club had sustained in the passing of one of its most valuable members, Mr. Stephen Lancaster. He said Mr. Lancaster had always been a hard worker for the club, being secretary for two years and latterly newspaper correspondent. The club members present stood in silence for a moment as a mark of respect. Mr. Bishop, M.R.C.V.S., then gave an interesting and entertaining talk on the comparison of vfeterinary work in New Zealand and England. At the conclusion of the talk it was decided £o set a programme for lectures six months in advance. It was decided that the secretary write to Messrs. B. Webb and R. Blackburn, two members who are at present in the Palmerston North HospitaL. Arrangempnts were also made for a shearing day, which is to be held on Mr. Law's property. The meeting concluded with the usual serving of supper.
