HOTEL CLOSING HOURS
REFERENDUM IN AUSTRALIA Received Tuesdav, 9.20 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. M(). A referendum on hotel closing hours will be held early in February. The question will be whether hotels wui close at 6 p.m., 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. Announcing this, the State Premier, Mr. MeKell, said the section of the Act which permits the sale of light wines and malt liquors in approved restaurants, will be proclaimed on Priday. The sp.ction relating to registered clubs will be proclaimed from April, 1947.
