ELECTORAL ROLLS CLOSE FRIDAY

WELLINGTON, Sept. 0. The printing of Ihe main eiectoral roll . wiil eominenee on Mouduy and the roll will be uvailable iu October. The inain j rolls for tlie election will close tliis week and all applieations for inclusion on them niust be in the hands of the . Kegistrar wlien it eloses on Friday. Old rolls for old districts liave been reas _ sembled as rolls l'or new districts and transfers to new rolls are made autom atiealJy by the Kegistrar, so that eiec- ' tors liave no responsibilitv in tliat inaiter. I f, however, electors liave clianged tlieir address and liave qualilied for enrolment in some other district, tliey still liave to uotify and apply for regis I! tration in tlie new district. Servieemen who liave not enrolled on civilian rolls, should do so if qualilied. The faet that , tliey wero included in tlie Forces roll i does not niean tliey wilJ automaticaliy be trausferred by the Department to a civilian roll. There is no guarantee that the name would be returned to the i civilian roll because the cleansing of 1 tlie roll undertalien during the last : election and before this election, may : liave resulted in tlie names being removed.
