The Dairy Oonference today deckleo lo accept the deeision of the Oommission of Enquiry which had ruled lliat the cost of keeping down prices locaity for butter and cheese, should cliargeu to tlie dairy industry stabilisation aecount. A motion asking that the costs sliould lie a charge to the Brilish luinp sum paynients was withdrawn. During the discussion it was announced that a debit of £1,500,000 for the current season \s keeping down of prices, was now to be charged to the Gonsoudated Fund. Agar also opposed the motion, stating he hoped it would noi be persev'ered with. They had pledgeu themselves to accept tlie result oi Arbitration 011 the question and never again would he represent the industry to the Government if tlie industry would not accept a deeision against it. After further discussion 011 similar lines, Mr. Sinelair offered to withdraw the motion to which tli'e conference agreed.
