WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. Mr. I'. Eraser was unaniinuusly re eleeted chairmau oi' the Parliainentary Labour Parly as a meeling held at Parliament buildings this morning. Mr. Nash was uuanimousiy reappoiuted deputy ehairman and the meeling reeorded its appreciation of his services to the Government and jieople of New Zealand. The following resolution was passed: "That the Parliainentary Labour Purty congratulates the Prime Alinister on liis unanimous reappointment as ehainnan of the party. We record our grateful thanlcs to the Prime Alinister t'or his devoted service to New Zealand and for his qualities of brilliant leadersh'tp in buth the national and iuteniational fields. In his work for I'nitod Nations Organisation he made a coritribution to the eause of peaee of innnense valuo that has won prestige for our eountry among the nations and is couiparable with his brilliant leadership of the New Zealand war eft'ort. His unflaggiug iuterest in the well-being of all citizens and in partieular the welfare of return ed servicemen, needs of women and children generally, and inaintenanee and extension of social seeuritv, has meant inuch not onlv to New Zealaiul but also to the cause of humanity thrpughout the world. We feel that the Labour movement, the eause of the ])eople and the Labour Government, are fortunate in liaving had the serviees of Mr. Fraser and we trust he uill be long spared to c-ontinue sueh services to the people of Ncav Zealand." /
