WELL-KNOWN SPORTSMAN PASSES
A keen supporter of raeing and liunting in the Rangitikei district, both as owner and administrative oifieer, and luiown throughout the Dominion as well for his sound judgment of thorouglibreds and lig'ht liorses, iMr. James Bull, of Makaraka, Hunterville, died in hospital at Palmerston Nortli on Wednesdav at the age of 80. His health for some years past had given cause for anxiety, and his passiug was not altogether unexpected. As a breeder and owner of horses, Mr. Bull enjoyed considerable succpss ever since his colours were first earried over 60 years ago. Among the very well-known horses he owned were Ngata, Omahu, Master Lupin, Equitas, High Commissioner, Travelling Agent, The Native and Colorado. Mr. Bull is survived by three sons, Vlessrs. Lindsav, Allen and Leighton Bull, of Hunterville, and two daugliters, Mrs. W. B. Glasgow, New Plymquth. and Mrs. L. A. Kelliek, Maugam'ahu. A fourth son, Melville, was killed 011 active service during World War I.
