LOW WHEAT HARVEST IN AUSTRALIA
SYDN-EY, Sept. 5. The Xew South Wales Government has asked the Fommonwealth to vetam 12,000,000 Imshels of the 1945 harvesi in the State oecause the 1946 harvesr is expected to he less than normal requirements. The Anstralian Wheat Board acquires and distributos all wheat qn hehalf or the Fommonwealth Government. The Xew South Wales Minister of Agriculture (Mr. Graham) said that the 1946 harvest was expected to vield hetvveen 25,000,000 and 30,1)00,000 bushels, whereas about 37,000,000 bushels were ueeded yearly for all purposes.
