WELL1NGTON, Sept. 5. c'Who is the authority on saucepans?" asked the Prime Minister in tlie House of Representatives this after noon, following notice of a question given }>y Mr.. M. II. Mr. Oram said prior to 1938 one firm alone sent to New Zealand 38 varie'ties of aluminium saucepans, 21 styles of aluminium teapots, 22 hinds of alumium aluminium teapots, 22 hinds of aluinin ium kettles and innumerable varieties1 of hotwater jugs, steamors, etc. At present two ftnns in. New Zealand were inaking aluminium ware. One was making three si'/.es of saucepans, one kettle and one teapot. The other was making a preserving pan which was too small and the material too thin.
