Tlie Labour Minister, Mr. Mitchell, announced that time lost through Canadian strikes for the first seven months of this year totalled 2,544,581 man days compared with 128,208 for the corresponding period in 1945. Prelimin ary figures show 145 strikes involving 1 19,079 vvorkers in 194G compared with 120 strikes involving 37>GD9 workers in 1945.
