GRAIN SURPLUS
Received Tuesdav, 11.15 p.m. COPENT1AGEN, Sept. 3. The 0,500,000 tons reported as the world grain surplus is not appliealde to the bread grain position, but is surplus grain other than bread grains, follow ing the United States harvest rocord crops of maize, barley and oats. The total impnrt needs of bread grains was estimated last May at 30,000,000 tons but better than expeeted harvests reduced this estiraat.e lo 28,000,000 tons, while supplies expeeted 1o be available for export inereased by half a million to slightly above 20,000,000 tons.
