Mr. MacMillan explained that he was suggesting a coalescence of d-emocratie elements of the Fonservativo, Liberal and Socialist parties who opposed the trends of the present government. A Cqnservative partv oliicial stated there had been no eonerete proposai that the party should be renamed "New Democratic Party," but Mr. Churchill had suggested that the name should be c-hanged. The matter will be diseussed at a Party conference in October.
