The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. Riteliie, said offers and couuter offers had previously been made in the dispute. There was not quite the differeuce between the two parties that at first sight appeared. Both sides should get down to the maia issues in the dispute. Then settlement would be possible. ^ After the morniug session it was decided that the parties get together independently and see if the.v could eome to au understanding on the points in dispute.
