Gaol without the option of a tlne is the penaltv for the illegal possessiou of tirearms under legislation introduced in tlie Legislative Assembly today. The Attornev General, Mr. C. E. Martin, introducing the Bill, gave a warning tlvat otlverwise law abiding citizens who kept souvenir weapons would not j in* fnture be given the option of a tlne ! More serious offenees would be punislij able by prison sentences up to seven j years. The. Bill was designed to assist I in Ihe suppression of the use of tirearms by the eriminal seetion.
