TAURANGA, August 28. Play in the New Zealaud basketball championship tournaiueat began today in glorious weather. Twenty-live teams are participating witli eight in the lirst grade, nine in the second and eight in the third. Play itn the opening games was of a high standard and attracted wride public interest.
