LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

"PRIVATE ENTERPRISE."

REFUSAL OF SHOP PERMIT Sir, — May I use a little of your space to voice my disapproval of the action of our Borough Council in refusing to issue a permit to some enterprising person to open a shop opposite York Street? It would be an asset to this end of the town, as it is growing very rapidly with sections being cut up for building purposes. I may say this would be a great convenience to the older persons around this area, instead of having to wade through puddles of water to get to town. Hoping our council will re-consider its decision. Yours etc.,

Levin, Aug. 27.
