TEACHER'S FALL INTO FIRE Quick action on the part of an eight-year-old boy, Richard Taylor, •son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Taylor, orobably saved Miss D. W. White from very serious injury when she fell into a fire at the Ihakara School on Monday. , From what the children say, Miss White was sitting in a chair, facing the fire, when she gave a short cry and then fell forward on to the fire. The fire was not a large one. but one arm, part of her face and her hair were burnt. One chUd ran for a bucket of water, which he threw over the fire and Miss White, who was partly revived by the water. The children managed to move her from the fireplace, and afterwards she was able to walk outside and put her head under a tap. By this time a neighbour, attracted by screams of the children, arrived and with another, who came-on the scene soon after, took Miss. White to a dpctor.
