Hospital Statistics At yesterday's meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board the Medical Superintendent, Mr. J. H. North, reported that 439 patients had been admitted to the hospial during July. A total of 399 had been discharged and 25 had died, leaving 370 patients in the hospital at the end of the month, with a daily occupied bed figure of 349.29. Altogether nine infectious disease cases had been admitted during Ju'ly comprising seven of scarlet fever and one each of diptheria and hydatid. Thirteen cases of scarlet fever, three of diptheria, two of hydatid, two of ; erysipelas and one of polonyelitis I remained in the hospital at the •end of the month. Reports from materriity homes showed that at Palmerston North there had been 31 births during July, at Foxton 11 births and at Otaki 17 birthS.
