IMMIGRANT JEWS SMUGGLED INTO PALESTINE
ARAB PAPER'S ASSERTION Received Tuesday, 10 a.m. JAFFA, Aug. 19. The Arab newspaper Falastin says that smugglers are charging illegal immigrants £20 for crossing the Syrian border into Palestine. The newspaper said that smuggling headquarters in Damascus are directing immigrants overland to a Trans-Jordan village on the eastern Palestine frontier, where a subcontractor takes over operations.
