LONDON, August 19. Families living in the squatters camp at Amersham are preparing to go over the British Government 's head and appeal to the American Ambassador to allow theni to stay, says the Daily Mai!. The camp was previously oceupiod by American troops. Ihe squatters argue that as the American Government spent half a million sterling to build the camp and never officially handed it over, the decision as to who shall live there is no eoncern of the British Government. A fonner flight-lieutenant, George Stones, on demobilisation leave appropriated hut No. 26 in the Army camp in Inverheath, Buckinghamshire. He furnished it and will bring his bride to it next week. Squatters in many camps are taking up a deliant note. The eliairman of the squatters' committee said: "We assure the Minister he will find it very diffi cult to reniove the squatters during the winter. ' '
