ANNUAL MEETING IIELD ! PREPARATIONS FOR SHOW The annual meeting of the Otaki I Horticultural and Daffodil Society Iwas held on Thursday night, the | president, Mr. E. T.- Bartosh, pre- | siding. Apologies were received ! from severai unable to be present. j The secretary (Mr. W. Wilson) reported a credit baiance of £44 11s j lOd, which was considered vcry i satisfactory.. I A leicer was received lrom Mr. 'and Mrs. Parsons, now residents of Masterton, tendering their resignations and wishing the society evory success. — It was decided to piace on I record the splenclid services ren- ; dered the society by Mr. and Mrs. i Parsons, who had helped iii many ways to make shows a success. iMrs. Parsons had been a member | sinee 1912, and had been one of the ! chief exhibitors. i A letter was read from the Mayor- | (Mr. C. F. Atmore ) asking that a i cepresentative of the society be appointed in connection with the war memorial.— Mr. Les. Walsn wus ! xppointed. The following ofhcers were j slected: — Patrcness, Mrs. C. Lowry, who had been a generous supporter of the society, sympathising with him on account of illI health and wishing him a speedy j and complete recovery. ! A vote of appreciation was passed to the r.etiring secretary (Mr. W. Wilson) for his splendid services.
