THE TRIUNE GOD (Continued) In the Crealion 01 Mvin, Gen. 1.26. And God said, LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, AFTER OUR LIKENESS. When we comc to the New Testament in Mark 1.9-11, we get a wonderful revelation of the Triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Co-existent and yet ciistinct the Son of God baptised of John in Jordan. The Spirit like a dove, descending on "him : and the Father speaking from lieaven, saying, THOU ART MY BELOVED SON, in whom I am well pleased. In John 14.16. Christ the Son of God, in dependance of the Father, said, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter (Holy Spirit) that he may abide with you for ever." (To be continued) . BIBLE TRUTH "To us there is but ONE GOD the Father, of whom are all things." 1 Cor. 8: 6. The doctrine of 14ie Trinity is not taught in the Bible. It originated with the man-rnade Athanasian Creed about the end of the fourth century, A.D. The Bible is not in harmony with any teaching so absurd as that advanced by this man-made creed which teaches that the Son is co-eternal and coequal with the Father, it is impossible for- a Son . tb be co-eternal with His Father, and "co-equality;' was expressly repudiated by Christ, in saying "My Father is greater than I." John 14: 28. How can the Son be God and how can the Father and the Son be one person when the Scriptures teach that the Son increased in wisdom, Luke 2: 52, that the Son prayed to the Father, Luke 6: 12. It is of interest to note that the only part of the "Authorized Version" that gave credence to the Trinity doctrine (1 John 5: 7.) has been proved to be spurious, ancl is omitted from the "Revisecl Version" and other later versions. Reader, the Scriptures reveal that your personal salvation depends upon believing "the Truth," 2 Thess. 2: 13, "walking in the liglit," 1 John 1_: 7, therefore vou cannot be saved if you are believing "fables." For a thorough exposition of Bible Truth you should read the hook "Christendom Astray." This enlightening hook sent free to any interested from H. W. Christie. McDonald Road, Levin.
