DISABLED TRAWLER IN TOW
Received Thursdav. 9.5 p.m. SYDXKY, Aug. 15. After a 12-liour battlc, four men in tlie disalded trawler Merlynda were ' reseued early todav by Ihe steanier Mulubiuba. With the engine disablol anchor dragging and distress flare alrnost expended, the men were begin liing to despair when the steanier caine to tlieir descue in the darkness. The trawler drifted rajiidlv nortlnvard from its original position east of Sydin\. Heads and tlie pilot steanier Captain Cook was unable to locate her. Slie wa,0ft' Terrigal, 50 miles nortli of Sydne.v [wlion tlie Mulubiuba eu route to Svd^iei from Newcastle, sighted a flare. After I some ansious nioments a line was go' aboard and the trawler was towed to Sydney.
