ACCIDENT NEAR SHANNON
j An accident involving a truck J owned by Mr. P. Bang, of Moutoa, j and driven by ■ his son, Maurice j Batlig', ahd baiTying'as a passenger, j Mr. Leo Carter, both of Moutoa, joccurred at 9.15 a.m. yesterday J morning on the Main Road near I Kingston Road. ! The truck, an old model, was ! travelling north and left the road . itriking a telegraph pole. On thc iimpact the motor was driven back | into the cab, which collapsed. jlnjuries which necessitated his I removal to hospital by ambulance ' was suffered by Mr. Carter. Mr. ' Bang received injuries to his hand. | The road was clear at the time and j the cause of the accident is j cmknown. The impact brought | down telephone lines in the vicinj ity.
