PLlPlNGj August 10.Fifty anned Cliinese ambushed a coal' train 011 thc Peiping-Alukden railway about threc miles nortli of 'Lutai and detonated eharges wliieh derailed tlie enginu and eight cars, reports the As- | sociated Press. The Chinese opeued fire on the caboose immediately after the explosious. Four L'nited States Alarine guards riding in the caboose, returned the fire and field olf the attackers. Two Chinese easualties are reported. A rescue patrol iiicked up ehe Marines. Observers said the attackers were undoubtedly Communists.
